Alternating weeks of COLLAGE and POSTER ART DESIGN & CREATION and TYPOGRAPHY & DISPLAY TYPEFACE DESIGN, join us at Happiest Kid Finds, for a fun and relaxed poster design workshop for anyone interested in tapping into their creative side - beginners and intermediates are welcome. You're encouraged to create in an easy-going, all-inclusive environment drawing inspiration from Happiest Kid Finds’ own collection,.

For all classes, materials and supplies are included with your reservation, but feel free to bring a sketch pad and specific tools that you want to use, . Come as you are, but it's recommended that you please wear comfortable attire that you won’t mind getting messy with.

COLLAGE and POSTER ART DESIGN & CREATION
Learn basic composition with a focus on form, texture, color, and design old-school - no computers, just you, your ideas, and the materials to create your own poster-sized piece.. I'll demonstrate simple approaches to layout and color, and will be able to offer mixed-media techniques using paper, paint, and found materials.

TYPOGRAPHY & DISPLAY TYPEFACE DESIGN
With a brief discussion and examples about Typography and how it's used in select posters, this workshop will involve you in hands-on creativity and messaging through eye-catching text, also known as the Display Typeface, a powerful design element in a designer's toolbox, and one that participants will create in this workshop. Using stencils, cutouts, or freehand... anything goes!!
