Art Workshop - Collage Art & Poster Design
Explore composition focusing on form, texture, color, and layout—no computers, just your creativity and hands-on materials. Learn mixed-media techniques using paper, paint, and found objects to craft your own poster-sized artwork.

The art work created for posters were known as Maquettes, or working drawings. These were rough drafts where editing was very common. It wasn't perfect, but the imperfections and constant changes is what makes them so interesting. Also, before computers, the designer cut and paste, drew and painted, all done by hand.
In this workshop, there aren't any rules when it comes to how you want your collage to look, or how you go about putting it together, which makes it ideal for those with little to no experience, and I, as your host, am available to assist at all times. This is a great workshop for all ages- from teens and young adults to seniors; for individuals and groups. Once you've registered, all that you have to do is dress comfortably and be ready to have fun.
You are welcome to bring specific materials that you'd like to work with, but materials are included (craft supplies, paper, paints.. ) Light snacks and refreshments are available as well.
