About Luchtmacht Vrouwenafdeling - LUVA:
"The Women's Air Force Department ( LUVA ) was initially established in 1951 as an air force unit of the Royal Netherlands Army . When the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) was established in 1953, this department formed part of that armed forces unit from 1953 to 1982, in which women voluntarily performed supporting work, so that as many men as possible were available for combat duties."
