Sachs's clever political and protest design parody combines two of history's most well-known images with a modern twist. He called on James Montgomery Flagg's famous recruitment image of Uncle Sam, "I Want You", created in 1917, and then swapped Uncle Sam's face with Scrooge McDuck, smack dab in the center of a fluorescent yellow background with bright red text, claiming Quack! McDuck was a cartoon character created by Carl Barks in 1947 for Disney. The character was the epitome of greed. This image speaks volumes about the lack of Faith in the US government. This sentiment was echoed on university campuses, in the media, and on the streets. The Vietnam War brought about so much anger, fueling protests and mockery of our government.

I suppose you can look at this in one of two ways: Quack is what he says, or Quack is what he is, but it definitely has something to do with those in charge.
