condition: taken from publication -rough edge on the left side was trimmed (unevenly), leaving a smaller margin. Minor edge tears. Natural toning along the edges, consistent with age. Otherwise excellent color and really nice condition.

Original and period. Beautiful printing. A kid instantly recognizes his mother’s tomb as the goat skull appears within a warm glow and greets her baby goat. The two human-like figures look on lovingly at the reunion. Poppies in the foreground.
"Wochenschrift für Kunst und Leben" (Weekly for Art and Life) is a title, not a specific publication. It refers to a type of periodical that focuses on both artistic expression and aspects of daily life. Several publications have used variations of this title or similar themes. One notable example is "Jugend," a Munich-based illustrated weekly founded by Georg Hirth. It ran from 1896 to 1940.
