condition: Good. Used item. Printed on both sides. Edge wear and minor tears, and creases in the margins. Fold across the image with minor pigment loss having coming from a publication. Spots of discoloration at the top.

artist: original image was from a painting by Gustave Courtois, 1883. 

printer: Harper's Bazar - The painting by Courtois was copied for the publication by master engraver Charles Bauge, whose work often depicted contemporary fashion and social scenes.

There is an article of Courtois and the painting are on the reverse. The engraving honors the exquisite detail in this portrait of a woman wearing a Japanese robe.
