Presented here is an original work of art by the owner of Happiest Kid Finds, Milagros Melendez. Before Happiest Kid Finds was founded, Milagros was applying her inspiration directly to canvas while living in New York around this time.

She finds form and substance in the unexpected. In this drawing, a feminine figure wearing a red skirt emerges from an abstract pattern that was inspired by cracked paint on a wall. Copying the pattern onto a white background, the entire scene is then defined with grey shading to add more depth and movement.
