condition: Good condition; printed in two sections, the Italian 4- sheet (quarto fogli) poster is stored folded and will be shipped folded, in a flat package. There is existing pigment loss to the folds and minor paper at the seam and left side of the background. There are also slight tears along the center of the folds - this is very common with posters that are folded where the paper is most vulnerable from handling. Overall excellent color.
A film by Sandro Ciotti, the story details the successes of the Dutch champion and manager, Johan Cruyff.
Born Hendrik Johannes Cruijff in the Netherlands, he was a symbol of greatness for the Dutch national soccer team and 3 time winner of the Ballon d'Or (1971, 1973, and 1974) and regarded as probably one of the greatest footballers ever. He was a key figure in the implementation of Total Football in the seventies as the tactic was developed more by Rinus Michels who encouraged Cruyff to play independently, while exploiting the opposing team's weaknesses during the game.
The design is as dynamic as the subject - a full length black and white image of the champion against the green soccer field, with bright orange accents for the title text.
