Edacoto 87: The original design is by Rene Ravo (1904 - 1998), a French artist and illustrator who designed numerous posters for different companies from the 1930s- 1950s, and the company that seems to have employed Ravo often is Radiola. This listing, however, is for Edacoto, which is one of three historic French brands. On one side, Ravo's design for Edacoto 87, presents very clean and stylish fountainpens that the brand introduced in 1943 - "the pen of France."

Kirby Beard & Co.: "Established in 1743 by William Cowcher, Kirby, Beard & Co. was a manufacturer of pins, needles, hair pins, safety pins, and fish hooks."
