‘At Play’ Original Mixed Media  (2010) Collage

Presented here is an original mixed-media work of art by the owner of Happiest Kid Finds, Milagros Melendez.

"In 2003, I started playing with printing from clay - since clay is such an organic medium while it's wet, what I produced were a series of monoprints from one plate - meaning each print varied from the other. Over time, I decided that the image of the child at play in clay print form made more of an impact as a single piece. Although I was reusing a frame that I already had, I was intentional about it. It is solid wood with a beveled interior; it's painted an antique silver with a red accent line - this substantial frame just barely contains the excitement, but gives it just enough support without imposing on the light and airy nature of the theme. "
