condition: Good. Used item. Tape along the back of the edges. Edge wear and tears. Creases across the image with light pigment loss. Stain at the lower right side.

Translation: Serbia Day June 25, 1916. Anniversary of the Battle of Kossovo.

The image shows "Serbian civilians and military personnel crossing the River Drina in what is now Yugoslavia." The poster was created to benefit the relief fund created for thousands that perished after the battle from starvation and harsh winter in the Albanian mountains, where the Serbians were forced to move to when they lost to the Ottoman Turks, 1389. Although the battle was a significant defeat, it was "a moral victory that formed the backbone of Serbian national identity."
